Dexerto.com is looking for a senior writer, ideally based on the West Coast of North America. Dexerto is a fast-paced and growing company and the successful candidate will be able to take constant feedback, able to work weekends, and write to the highest standard.
Previous writing experience is essential.
Job Description
You will be responsible for delivery work, such as content writing and managing social profiles. You will coordinate work effectively, ensuring all content is quality checked, meets the organisational standards and is delivered on time. As well as manage existing digital activities, on-board new activities and collaboratively develop an industry leading digital operation. You will analyze the gaming world in depth and source data to convert into capturing stories - ensuring that the business’s content is always fresh, up to date, and relatable to the audiences.
This role primarily leads the strategy, planning and delivery of best-in-class creative content to drive the growth of Dexerto.
Requirements
- Understanding and knowledge of the universe of Esports
- Excellent organisational skills; intuitive and highly solution-oriented
- Good writing style that is accurate, engaging and adaptable, with impeccable use of grammar
- Comfortable collaborating with the creative team and other technical departments
- Able to analyze the gaming industry to understand its growth drivers and current trends
- Leading the editorial team at management level, developing new ways of working that improve content quality and reader loyalty
- Able to act independently on writing tasks
- Ability to work well under daily targets and deadlines
- Confident delivering multi-faceted digital communications activities
- Able to work full-time hours (40+) without other education or job commitments
- Be committed to good time management and have a keen attention to detail
- Own computing equipment that can run Photoshop
- Experience with content management systems
- Experience of managing a team
