Charlie Intel Writer (US/UK)
Charlie Intel are looking for talented writers to boost the website’s gaming coverage.
The ideal candidate will know everything there is to know about Call of Duty and Warzone, will be able to break all the big news as it happens, and write tips and guides to help players get better at the game. You will also have a good understanding of Call of Duty esports and will follow big CoD personalities who stream on Twitch and create content for YouTube.
However, Charlie Intel is expanding its coverage beyond Call of Duty so you need to have a good understanding of gaming beyond CoD.
You’ll need a snappy writing style and be able to craft engaging headlines that will include all the important keywords. As a result, some SEO knowledge is desirable.
As well as writing articles for the website, you’ll be expected to post on Charlie Intel’s social media accounts. You’l need to keep the followers up to date on the latest news as it happens, find engaging clips, post viral content, and interact with the audience.
Requirements
- Deep understanding and knowledge of Call of Duty
- A snappy and compelling writing style
- Able to write to short deadlines under pressure
- Have a keen attention to detail – can spot grammatical errors and fact check.
- Creative ability – able think of feature ideas and suggest news stories that will resonate with our audience
- Is confident with social media
- SEO knowledge desirable but not essential
- Able to work full-time hours (40) without other education or job commitments
- Be committed to good time management
- Own computing equipment that can run Photoshop and be able to use it competently
- Experience with content management systems is desirable
