Dimensional Ink Games (DIG) is a Daybreak Game Company studio located in northwest Austin with a view of rolling hillsides. Our studio is centered around bringing comic adventures to life. THE OPPORTUNITY
The Senior Animator, Technical position is responsible for developing expressive heroes and villains from a world class IP in the Art department for our unannounced project at Dimensional Ink Studios reporting to the Executive Producer.
This Position Will Be Responsible For
- Using emergent animation techniques to deliver a strong visual style
- Establishing workflow standards and best practices
- Collaborating with Artists and Designers
- Defining craft standards for the Animations pipeline
What Craft Expertise You’ll Have
Tools/Technology /Knowledge
- Required: Unreal 4 (and how to break down game animation assets in engine), Maya, and advanced knowledge of rigging and character animation tools in Maya including skeletons, skinning/deformers, constraints, and FK/IK
- Desired: Knowledge of C++, C#
Craft Experience
- Required: Comfortable in a variety of tools, and procedural animation
Other Criteria
Experience
- Years of Experience: 5+ years animation for games preferred
- Desired: Strong experience developing for a live product, 1 shipped MMO, Action or RPG title preferred

- Proven ability to manage time, self-organize, and meet deadlines
