Cxmmunity is a nonprofit organization, committed to increasing minority participation in esports through STEAM, operations, and career development. Founded to end barriers to entry and underrepresentation in esports, Cxmmunity provides minorities living in underserved communities with the opportunity to take part within the gaming industry by creating programs to give access to industry leaders, internships, and full-time jobs.

Position Summary

The Fund & Investment Development Manager will be responsible defining, developing, and then deploying the fund & investment strategy with financial goals to support the operating budgets & continued growth of the organization. This role is client & public facing and will work to generate new leads with donors, investors, and potential grants while maintaining relationships with those already within the non-profit portfolio.

Roles & Responsibilities

Craft & oversee the overall organizational strategy related to growing & developing our donor & investor relations
Develop & own the goals and various KPIs associated with our fund & investment targets
Manage relationships with a portfolio of high-net-worth organizations, donors, or prospective investors
Create and attend fundraising events
Attend networking functions or other valuable opportunities to expand our network
Communicate portfolio or program updates to investors, donors, and other key development stakeholders
Establish operational efficiency with leadership at Cxmmunity to streamline process from intaking new leads to activating the partnership
Work cross functionally to ensure compliance of reporting within the portfolio as it relates to investor relations, donations, giving, and grants
Adhere to Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), fundraising code of ethics, and the Donor Bill of Rights
Coordinate with leadership & the CFO to determine & set operating budget needed to scale funding, donations, and investments
Serve as the ambassador of Cxmmunity for mission related events and conferences

Position Requirements

Be in or willing to relocate to Atlanta, GA, or a neighboring area
Communicate effectively with leadership & other internal team members on what you need to best drive success in this role
Be on-time with expectations for deliverables on projects
Understand how to create & maintain relationships with various levels of organizations
Able to lead weekly & monthly meeting(s) to share updates across area of operation
Prior non-profit experience preferred
Strong familiarity with both local & regional fundraising insights and knowledge
Demonstrated success with both board members & volunteer groups
Proven ability to work autonomously & with an entrepreneurial mindset
Have experience at the intersection of software, social impact, and marketing
Strong preference for someone mid – senior level with 5+ years’ experience
