We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Game Designer to work on Hunt:Showdown in our Frankfurt, Germany based studio.

As a Senior Game Designer, you will be responsible for developing game concepts and systems that fulfill the vision of the Game Director and the Lead Designer.

You will work closely with people from other departments such as System Design and UI to design and implement the needed features to create the desired gameplay experience.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of game features, from initial designs to final implementation.
• Pitch, create and maintain designs and game concepts.
• Run sanity check on game feature ideas with relevant stakeholders to get an overview for dependencies, restrictions and possibilities.
• Work with other departments to ensure all required resources are scheduled and delivered.
• Be a game design knowledge source for other members of the development team.
• Empower, challenge and motivate yourself and everybody on the design team.
• Participate in testing to iterate, balance and tune gameplay features.
• Mentor Game Designers to help them to improve their craft.

Requirements

• 4+ years as a Game Designer in the video games industry.
• 2 or more shipped AAA titles on PC or Console, preferable FPS games.
• Excellent knowledge of the principles of game design and theory.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Deep passion for gaming, preferably FPS sandbox games.
• A team motivator and catalyst for pushing quality.
• Willing to relocate to Frankfurt am Main area, Germany.

Pluses

• Technically-minded and scripting experience.
• Experience in working with macros in MS Office.
• Experience with any game engine (preferably CRYENGINE).
