Creative Assembly are looking for a Product Director to join our Live Services team. This role is based in our studio in the heart of Sussex, in the UK.
In this new and exciting role, you will be heading up our customer facing product relations and work with closely with multi-functional and flexible teams. You will develop a deep understanding of customer needs and tie them to business cases, benefits, and value propositions.
The successful candidate for this role will be an excellent communicator and be comfortable and confident working with developers and the leadership team across the studio to understand their requirements and needs. A passion for professional development and a commitment to teamwork is key for this position.
Key Responsibilities
As a Product Director on our Live Services team, you will be playing a key role in providing our business-critical online games service. You will be responsible for owning the customer relationship with all parties, both internal and external. You will oversee the collation and prioritisation of their requirements, identify the potential development of new features, products, and services based on our Studio priorities and business strategy.
In this role, you will be instrumental in the integration process of our online services. You will be leading a team of experts who will advise developers on technical implementation as well as filtering and helping to convert their requirements into fully documented technical designs.
As part of the Live Services leadership team, you will be a key part of building a realistic product roadmap for our current and future service offerings, to drive our business planning, and represent the product to the rest of the business.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience
Essential
- Extensive knowledge and experience in planning and operating online games and software
- Senior level experience and good understanding of production, technology and all other important aspects of our business
- Experience and ability to connect people, build and maintain a team through cooperation and collaboration
- Very strong organisational, management and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter; ability to identify and preempt problems and issues others might have missed
- Experience working with online services and APIs
- Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal with ability to command the attention of the room
- Fluency in spoken and written English
Desirable
- Expert of agile methodology
- Experience outside of the game industry
- Avid gamer
