About Create & Our Gaming NewCo
Create is a venture studio that is based in New York, led by Mark Gerson, and backed by 20 of NYC’s most successful founders. Create rigorously ideates, tests, refines, and launches new businesses. We have identified an opportunity to build a new social platform for the gaming community, and are planning to launch the business in the next few months.
About The Role
To successfully launch this business, we need to simultaneously build (a) an amazing product and (b) a highly engaged community to launch that product into. We are seeking somebody that can take ownership over the community growth & engagement. Notably, we expect this person to manage our brand on social media, run giveaways and competitions, guide the conversation on our Discord server, host community events, etc. At the end of the day, we are looking for somebody that is active in the gaming community and can implement creative growth tactics to acquire and engage our future users.
Responsibilities Include:
- Posting, commenting, following, etc. on Twitter
- Posting, commenting, following, etc. on Instagram
- Sending monthly updates via email
- Planning, organizing, and running competitions & giveaways through Gleam
- Guiding the conversation on our Discord server
- Hosting community events (watch parties, tournaments, etc.)
- Managing the rewards program
About You
- Have experience managing and growing social media accounts
- Have experience managing and growing Discord communities
- Passionate about gaming and highly active in the gaming community
- Comfortable working remotely
- Comfortable working independently
