General Purpose: The VP of Software and Services will be responsible to drive the development and execution of the overall Software and Services strategy including:

  • Software / service strategy development
  • Software / service product management (including value proposition, targeting, offer design, pricing and roadmaps) and business development / alliances
  • Buisness Operations - Annual and quarterly planning, P&L / revenue management and reporting (KPI’s / OKR’s)
  • Team management – Daily, weekly and ongoing team management against roadmaps and releases

Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Lead the development of a longer term software and services vision and road map of opportunities for Corsair, framing the strategy of the company, delivering a perspective on disruptive trends/technologies that may be less obvious to those responsible for the day to day operation of the business
  • Identify and monitor market and industry developments and issues that impact future software and services road map and market opportunities. This will require deep relationships with key thought leaders, customers, industry analysts, and the venture capital/private equity community
  • Build and grow a new software & services business team (design, product management, service management, software and content development and coach recruitment) with an initial focus on:
    • Coaching and training for:
      • Gamers
      • Streamers
      • PC builders (lifecycle technical services)
    • Lifecycle services for PC Gamers and Streamers (such as advanced warranties for consumers)
    • Platforms to maximize customer engagement
    • Develop and iterate customer testing frameworks, segmentation models, forecasting models, and automated tools
  • Plan and execute strategic expansion via combination of partnerships and organic opportunities (i.e., commercialize existing capabilities)
  • Partner with eCommerce, Marketing and other BU teams to ideate and deliver optimal plans
  • Build reporting, dashboards, and visualizations, monitor and understand performance along key KPIs
  • Report to SVP, New Ventures

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in B2C software / services (as a service) product management and marketing
    • Deep understanding of software and service management with strong orientation on customers
    • Proven success managing people and projects, working across teams, and driving performance in a cross-functional environment
  • Undergraduate degree and MBA or equivalent experience
  • Industry experience: Ideally with previous experience with gaming and streaming environment
  • Leadership Skills:
    • Proven leadership of large B2C aaS organization
    • Experience building an organization as a corporate entrepreneur
    • Proven record of building up and running a software development and services delivery team
    • Track record on building business plans and executing them
    • Ability to identify, prioritize critical vs important impact initiatives:
      • Strong analytical deduction and diagnostic ability to find and solve problems
      • Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision making skills
  • General Skills:
    • Team player with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to build relationships of trust and manage professionals in both direct and indirect reporting capacities.
    • Detail orientation required. Ability to quickly identify issues and develop a recommended plan of action to address.
    • Self-starter with the ability to streamline executive decision making and effectively manage concurrent projects and teams.
    • Strong communication skills:
      • Deliver content feedback and articulate implementable strategies to make coaching and training content and services better
      • Presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across audiences at varying levels of the organization
