Corsair is seeking a Director/Senior Director level head of Tax who will support all domestic and international entities and will be responsible of tax compliance, planning matters and tax related financial reporting for Corsairโs growing global business interests. The successful candidate will also be responsible for establishing the tax policy and the development of international tax strategy. This is a highly visible position.
You Will
- Be responsible for the Companyโs and its subsidiariesโ tax compliance, tax planning, tax rate optimization and accounting for income tax
Position Summary, Responsibilities And Expectations
- Acts as in-house tax expert to minimize dependence on 3 rd party tax resources.
- Performs accounting for income taxes (SFAS No. 109) for US & International subsidiaries
- FIN 18 & 48 analyses & memos
- Completion of Tax Filings (Federal, State & Local in-house; International to be coordinated with local tax service providers & local finance teams)
- Develop, maintain and monitor compliance of intercompany agreements and associated transfer price studies
- Drive corporate tax planning, strategy and implementation, including changes to corporate structure & impact of M&A
- R&D tax credit, study, filing and support
- Analysis of Deferred Tax Assets and other tax analysis as needed
- Assure tax compliance worldwide, working through local finance teams
- Responsible for tax audits
- Establish and ensure compliance of SOX controls on tax accounting
- Ensure accuracy & timeliness of all tax payments globally
- Liaise with Companyโs foreign & domestic operational management on tax matters relating to their current & proposed operations (income tax, VAT, withholding tax etc.)
- Monitor relevant legislative changes in foreign and domestic tax laws
- Resale-minus customs declaration compliance
- Ensure compliance with international VAT & personal income tax matters
Essential Skills And Experience
- Minimum 10 years of progressive involvement in the tax and finance field, with 5 years plus in a public accounting firm preferred; minimum 5 years in industry
- Experience with International tax and international corporate legal structures required, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Europe preferred
- Well versed with different tax systems
- Very visible position and requires excellent communication skills, internally (up to CEO / CFO level and Audit Committee of the Board) and externally
- Managed external tax professionals and service providers, preferably on a global basis
- Bachelorโs Degree (B.S.) in Accounting or similar. Advanced degree such as Masterโs Degree in Business Taxation, CPA or JD preferred.
- Must have a demonstrated hands-on approach and success in working in a team-based environment
- Experience managing multiple third party vendors
- Experience with ERP systems
