General Purpose: The Senior Director of New Ventures, Business Operations will be responsible to drive the development and execution of Corsair’s overall New Ventures strategy including:

  • Inorganic growth – Lead the process of identifying/qualifying, negotiation / due diligence and integration of M&A opportunities for Corsair
  • New Ventures Buisness Operations –
    • Annual and quarterly planning, P&L / revenue management and financial reporting and forecasting (KPI’s / OKR’s)
    • Team management – Daily, weekly and ongoing New Ventures team management against roadmaps and releases

Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Inorganic growth - Work closely and directly with the SVP, Strategy and New Ventures, the CEO and CFO and executive leadership, as well as the PE sponsors, to structure deals, direct due diligence and negotiate and close acquisitions. This includes:
    • Establish and institute a structured and disciplined M&A framework and process for the company
    • Leading efficient and effective due diligence processes and documentation across functional disciplines
    • Personally leading deep-dive modeling and analysis, espcaially valuation and financial diligence
    • Working closely with Finance, Accounting and Legal teams to structure the deal in ways that protect the company’s interests
    • Working closely with internal business partners and any third- party resources to support deep analysis and modeling efforts
    • Supporting the SVP, Strategy and New Ventures and CEO and CFO in negotiating the deal
    • Develop and lead a process for initial diligence on numerous pipeline opportunities to clarify which ones merit deeper diligence and attention. Prioritize and execute on the acquisition pipeline, while also constantly surveying the market for additional targets
    • Creating post acquisition integration plans and working with the VP, Software and Services and other functions to deliver on them
  • New Ventures Business Operations –
    • Build reporting, dashboards, and visualizations, monitor and understand performance along key KPIs
    • Partner with eCommerce, Marketing and other BU teams to ideate and deliver optimal plans
    • Solid project management experience, mapping out people, process, and technology requirements for seamless execution of short/long-term initiatives
  • Report to SVP, New Ventures

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • At least 10+ years of experience with a blend of banking, consulting and corporate experience in technology markets
  • Significant experience running all aspects of M&A deals from start to finish (including valuation, transaction structuring and negotiation)
  • Excellent quantitative skills, including expertise in financial analysis and modeling. Understanding of current and emerging issues impacting strategic transactions
  • Skilled in strategic analysis B2C technology businesses and their internal operations
    • SaaS platform experience is valuable, but not required
  • Gaming and streaming market experience is valuable, but not required
  • Undergraduate degree and MBA or equivalent experience. CFA preferred
  • Leadership Skills:
    • Track record on building business plans and executing them
    • Ability to identify, prioritize critical vs important impact initiatives:
      • Strong analytical deduction and diagnostic ability to find and solve problems
      • Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision making skills
    • Proven success managing people and projects, working across teams, and driving performance in a cross-functional environment
  • General Skills:
    • Team player with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to build relationships of trust and manage professionals in both direct and indirect reporting capacities.
    • Detail orientation required. Ability to quickly identify issues and develop a recommended plan of action to address.
    • Self-starter with the ability to streamline executive decision making and effectively manage concurrent projects and teams.
    • Strong communication skills:
      • Deliver content feedback and articulate implementable strategies to make coaching and training content and services better
      • Presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across audiences at varying levels of the organization
