General Purpose:
Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, solution-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced, global, and cross-functional environment.
β’ Develop packaging concepts with a strong focus on form, function, cost, and the out-of-box experience
β’ Release dielines and packaging part specifications into internal systems
β’ Validate pallet loading efficiency and perform transit testing (ISTA or equivalent)
β’ Work closely with global suppliers to evaluate new materials and technologies
β’ Lead root cause analysis and resolve packaging-related issues
β’ Drive continuous improvement and support both sustainability and cost optimization initiatives
β’ Travel domestically and internationally to supplier sites as needed to support collaboration and project timelines.
Essential Skills and Experience:
β’ Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in packaging engineering, preferably within the high-volume consumer electronics industry
β’ Proven ability to lead packaging design projects from concept to mass production
β’ Proficient in CAD and Microsoft Office; experience with ArtiosCAD, TOPS, and Adobe Illustrator is a strong plus
β’ Solid understanding of packaging materials, printing processes, and manufacturing workflows
β’ Familiar with lab testing standards and procedures such as ISTA and ASTM
β’ Hands-on experience working onsite with manufacturers and suppliers
β’ Strong knowledge in key packaging areas, including:
1,Corrugated and paperboard packaging design
2,Molded pulp development
3,Insert protection and packaging adhesives
4,Paper printing techniques and surface treatments
β’ Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills
β’ Effective prioritization aligned with business and project goals
β’ Good written and verbal communication skills in English
