General Purpose

The IT DevOps Engineer will be part of the IT Ecommerce team that will administer, develop and support ongoing operations and usability of Corsair Ecommerce computing environment.

Position Summary, Responsibilities And Expectations

The IT DevOps Engineer will be responsible for infrastructure projects and processes. Attention to detail, problem solving abilities and solid knowledge base are essential.

• Work directly with both IT Ecommerce development team and business stakeholders in ensuring platform stability and integrity
• Ongoing systems administration of all platforms in scope
• Coordinate with platform vendors business requirements features and enable customization or configuration for all platforms in scope
• Design and implement build, deployment and configuration management
• Provide technical guidance and support team members on all platforms in scope
• Evaluate and prototype solutions that fulfill direct needs of the business
• Be a proactive technical “guru” fostering innovation and creative ideas within a team
• Document and design various processes; update existing processes
• Adhere to best practices and procedures as established by the company

Essential Skills And Experience

• Experience with cloud infrastructures, SaaS, IaaS or PaaS platforms
• Technical hands-on experience with Linux infrastructure, database SQL, scripting such as javascript, PHP, ZPerly, Ruby, .NET
• Experience with software development, infrastructure development or development and operations
• Passion to deliver innovative software solutions
• Experience with monitoring and trending tools
• Experience in collaborating and working with business partners in collecting and documenting requirements
• An eagerness to learn enough about whatever tools or tricks are needed to get the job done
• Experience with system automation tools (Chef, Puppet, etc) is a plus
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related experience technical domain
