General Purpose:

The Director of Returns will define the vision and strategy to maximize cost recovery from product returns. This is a multi-faceted role encompassing responsibility in Channel Marketing, Reverse Logistics and Refurbishment Operations. This position will be responsible for the end-to-end supply chain through the reverse logistics flow and into the channels for re-sale of refurbished products

Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Develops future capabilities and long term vision for best in class reverse logistics network
  • Leads cross-functional meetings to develop repair and refurbishment strategies
  • Manages the reverse logistics operations network including both in house and outsourced operations with ODMs, CMs and service providers
  • Responsible for the P&L of the refurbished product lines and inventory turns
  • Develops the demand creation strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for the products
  • Manages the financial performance and risk management of customer returns, damages, trade-in, closeouts and recall
  • Develops and manages worldwide go-to-market strategies and new asset recovery channels
  • Develops project plans for the launch of new programs, features, and strategies
  • Effectively manage repairs and refurbishment workstreams to identify opportunities and optimize cost, customer service and quality across all products and geographies.
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholder teams including Logistics, Quality, Customer Service, Procurement, Planning, Sales and Marketing to establish and build cross-functional buy-in.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of 7+ years in Supply Chain and Product Marketing
  • Understanding and work experience in reverse logistics in general and specifically the disposition and transformation process related to returns
  • Outstanding analytical capabilities. High level of proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work cross functionally in a dynamic environment. Strong work ethic with high degree of flexibility.
  • Willing to travel, domestic and international, up to 15%
  • Proven Writing Skills: business plans, product positioning, webassets, collaterals, etc.
  • Proven track record of market segmentation, customer analysis, competitive analysis, and positioning experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in various consumer PC components and peripherals such as Power Supplies, CPU Coolers, Keyboards, Mice, Headsets, a plus
