General Purpose:

• We are looking for a Data Engineer build and maintain data systems
• In this role, you should have strong analytical skills and the ability to combine data from different sources. Data engineer skills also include familiarity with several programming languages and knowledge of learning machine methods.
• Ultimately, you will enhance our business intelligence system to help us make better decisions

Position Summary, Responsibilities, and Expectations:

• Analyze and organize raw data
• Contributes to Business Intelligence (BI) Projects
  • Build data systems and pipelines
  • Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling
  • Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
  • Work closely with peers and user groups to ensure on-time execution of all deliverables
  • Provide day to day production support and off-hours support as required
  • Work is performed independently with minimal directions
  • Coordinate all aspects of information systems projects, planning, design, implementation, and management

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business
• Willing to work in collaborative, cross-functional group
• Strong communication skills
• Strong in ETL processes
• Intermediate to advanced T-SQL, PL/SQL skills
• Data modeling skills (normalization and star/snowflake schema)
• Data validation skills (anomaly detection and checksum)
• Data visualization skills (design thinking)
• Experience with SQL Server stack (SSMS, SSIS, SSAS and SSRS)
• Experience with Microsoft AWS Cloud based systems (or Microsoft Azure)
• Experience with Power BI, DAX functions
• Cloud applications and data security experience
• Good to know about Python Google Bigquery, Snowflake, Spark, Hadoop...
• Visual Studios experience
• Development of best practices (requirements gathering, project management, user acceptance testing, version control, support, maintenance, documentation, etc.)
