This is a Graduate Assistant position, working under the Esports Head Coach and Converse Athletics.

You will have a main role of your choice within the program. The role could be a head coach, recruiter, general manager, event coordination, graphic design, etc. That will be your main priority of your role; although you’ll still have responsibilities in other areas of the program. The work is split up between other Graduate Assistants, Head Coach, and student leaders (managers, coaches, social media, etc.). We want to provide you with the responsibilities related to your field and balance that with the needs of the program.

Graduate Assistants are required to register for at least 6 credit hours a semester. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Representing the University in a professional manner by understanding their policies and procedures when exercising judgement.
• Attend scheduled staff meetings.
• Assist in recruiting, managing, leadership building, and event planning.
• Manage strong public relations with all departments at the University, local businesses, and sponsors.
• Basic knowledge of the following games: League of Legends, Overwatch, Rainbow 6 Siege, Valorant, Rocket League, Apex Legends, Smash, Hearthstone, Call of Duty, NBA 2K, FIFA, and Madden.
• Maintain a productive and focused environment for players in the Esports Arena.
• Understanding of Discord, Twitch, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Head Esports Coach.
