Connected Camps, a partner organization of the North America Scholastic Esports Federation, is hiring to support the expansion of the Federation. Join us in overseeing the expansion of our esports coaching program for the North America Scholastic Esports Federation. The Role: ​We are seeking an outstanding full-time Coaching Coordinator to oversee the expansion of the online coaching component of NASEF to California, and nationally. You will lead a high school-level coaching program that utilizes game play as a method of personal development and relationship building.

  • A nine-month contract working approximately forty hours per week
  • Flexible schedule and opportunities to work from home
  • Chance to work on a high profile project and shape the vision of coaching for the league

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the performance of a distributed team of 60+ virtual esports coaches
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and training of coach cohorts
  • Work closely with NASEF project team to ensure alignment to the league’s mission and
    vision
  • Engage in-person with school-based General Managers to monitor quality and consistency of experience across teams
  • Participate in league scheduling and planning

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Passion for and knowledge of esports and online gaming
  • Ability to travel throughout Orange County for site visits and team meetings
  • Moderate to expert level experience in League of Legends and Overwatch
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills: verbal, written, technological, and
    interpersonal
  • Relevant experience in conflict resolution in a high-pressure environment

Preferred Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a self-directed manner from a home office, using online collaboration tools in a distributed work team
  • Demonstrated expertise in online coaching
  • Strong interpersonal and management skills

Location: ​Irvine, CA with opportunities to work from home

Start Date: ​Mid to Late August 2018
