Community Gaming is seeking an experienced Community Lead for the Malaysia area. The Community Lead would be responsible for the Malaysia team and work with organizers, players, brands, and partners in the region to develop competitive gaming tournaments. This person will report directly to the SEA Regional Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Scout opportunities to develop and execute flagship tournaments with a strong marketing strategy.
  • Assist in coordinating the production team for flagship events. (Casters, talent, and producers.)
  • Monitor and manage community run grass-roots tournaments.
  • Build and maintain valuable relationships with regional esports teams, partners, brands, and organizers.
  • Work with partners to ensure high-quality and impactful events.
  • Provide regular insight to the region, relevant trends and updates in the esports ecosystem.
  • Organize and maintain the tournament schedule for the Malaysia area.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in community management and engagement
  • Fluency in English and Malay
  • Has a deep understanding of the SEA market and gaming industry.
  • Experience managing a budget and working with international teams.
  • Is well organized with efficient project management strategies.

Preferred:

  • Has in-depth experience within the esports ecosystems.
  • Experience in event management
  • Fluency in Mandarin
