Community Gaming’s core principle in empowering gamers and esports communities worldwide is made possible by the dedicated work of our community-facing team who orient their work on the recruitment of community organizers with varying levels of experience and following. The responsibilities of the Community Operations Lead are summarized on accompanying these external organizations in their growth through their enabling of event organization on Community Gaming’s platform to post event evaluation and fostering relations with different gaming communities in Brazil.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and approve weekly grassroots organizer applications for their specific sub-region
- Coordinate with Tournament Organizers on the launching of their events: Tournament Creation, Invoice Submission, Keeping Monday.com up to date, tournament creation walkthroughs, Q&A about the site or other CG-related elements, post event follow up
- Plan and Execute one monthly CG LatAm Flagship Event or weekly series
- Update and monitor the CG LatAm Calendars with CG and non CG tournaments
- Assist with designing, maintaining and evolving competition rules, scheduling, and policies across multiple game titles that we support to match the ever-changing needs of the ecosystem
- Collect and report user review and feedback for improving site features
- Monitor the site daily to ensure past tournaments are unlisted and/or finished after their culmination
- Coordinate with Marketing on dissemination of visual materials for tournaments in Social Media
- Research, connect and introduce blockchain game guilds into the CG Platform and opportunities for these organizations"
Qualifications:
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Flawless relationship skills, including the ability to work with international teams, and individuals of different backgrounds and degrees or education
- Keen understanding of the Latin American esports ecosystem (bonus points for understanding of the blockchain and crypto ecosystems)
- Experience with at least one type of video game genre: RTS, FPS, MOBA or TCG
- Portuguese Native Speaker with English and or Spanish proficiency or vice versa, interview to be conducted in English (bonus points for additional languages)
Preferred:
- Experience with Monday.com
