Codemasters Cheshire are excited to offer a new 6 month fixed term contract (view to perm) to work on our newly announced title. Based in Runcorn as part of the Marketing department, this role will help manage the community and support the social media for our bold and visceral new game, DIRT 5.

You will have day to day ownership of a passionate user community dialogue on all aspects of the game’s zeitgeist and audience experience. This is an incredible opportunity to become a key recognised and trusted name for our gaming communities.

In this role you can get your teeth into the following responsibilities:

  • First point of contact on the DIRT 5 development/comms team for any issues reported through our forums and channels
  • Ensuring that all issues are triaged and communicated clearly to the right teams.
  • Recruiting for, running and collating feedback from betas or gameplay testing.
  • Working closely alongside the Social Manager to ensure information is clear, well maintained and moderated in line with company policy.
  • Work with the QA teams to track down and identify key quality issues reported by the community.
  • Provide initial technical support and assistance to our customers through forum responses, support emails and other channels.
  • Work with relevant parties to improve systems for tracking quality issues ahead of key product releases.
  • Curate and moderate on-going game content in the post-launch period.
  • Support the social media manager with collating materials for any general product news and announcements.
  • Support the dev team in assembling materials for internal company newsletters to demonstrate the current progress of the product.

You will also have the opportunity for involvement in strategic elements such as updating and managing of showcased/licensed spotlight features to drive player retention and engagement and planning and scheduling new content/feature drops.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of gaming topics, ideally automotive too
  • Enthusiasm and buckets of self-motivation
  • A strong team working ethic and time management skills
  • Customer Service focus yet diplomatic when faced with issues
  • Perhaps you have had some industry experience such as in a QA, community and customer service role too, which would be awesome!
