Summary:

Cloud9 is looking for a Director of Technology to join our amazing team. We are looking for someone to provide technical leadership, be a technical resource for the company, provide guidance, planning, implementation, and feedback for new projects with technical components. To be a technical leader to our software developers and assist with their work when needed. This role is instrumental in selecting and managing third party software vendors.

This is a mission-critical role and to be successful, you must be someone that can code, and can protype new projects or services, be an effective communicator, and strategic partner. This is a great opportunity for someone that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and working to scale the organization. This role is for a hands-on person that can be both strategic and tactical.

Essential Functions Of The Role:

  • Provide senior leadership with level of effort and time estimations for technical tasks
  • Management and troubleshooting of organization wide IT
  • SQL Database management and schema design
  • Architect, develop, and deploy ETL pipelines and analytic capabilities across business groups including social media, partnerships, and performance analytics
  • Manage and create websites, their users, and new features across static, ecommerce, and memberships sites
  • Write production level software for both cloud and on-premises applications
  • Design and implement deployment pipelines
  • Oversee all technology operations (network security) and provide excellent customer support to the management and staff
  • Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency
  • Manage and work with outside developers when needed to meet our business goals
  • Meet with partners and 3rd parties when technical integrations are being discussed
  • Stay current on technologies and enforce software best practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • At least 5 years of technology experience and at least three years of management experience
  • Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, etc.
  • Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and negotiations skills
