About the Position:

Cloud9 is looking for an entry-level Social Media Coordinator to join our internship program for a paid 10-week remote opportunity. You will work alongside Cloud9s Social Media team to create, develop, and execute social media marketing plans, engage in daily social media coverage, and provide support on Cloud9 players/teams competitive participation. The ideal candidate would have excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, highly organized, passionate about esports, be able to adapt quickly, and creatively problem solve. Previous experience in social media positions is not required. The purpose of this internship is to gain on-the-job experience, a post-internship review will occur at the end of the program where part-time or full-time employment may be explored.

Responsibilities:

  • Expected to work alongside Cloud9 Social Media team to develop and execute creative social media marketing plans and strategies
  • Responsible for upkeep on planning documents, coordinating calendars, assisting in post execution and copy writing
  • Responsible for posting engaging social media coverage of tournaments and games

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with esports, esports events, and various competitive esports/gaming titles
  • Knowledge of ongoing social media trends and memes
  • Knowledge & understanding of video, livestream and/or social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Twitch or other emerging social platforms such as TikTok
  • Currently enrolled full-time or part-time in college or recent graduate
  • Over 18 years of age
  • Fluent in English
  • Los Angeles resident preferred, but not required
