As the Learning and Development Manager at Cloud Imperium Games, you will have the chance to deliver high impact, global, L&D strategies to achieve company goals through technical upskilling with the ability to build strong and transformational relationships.

You will need to understand the challenges of developing one of the most ambitious games ever, whilst tailoring your strategies to train, teach and improve our teams. You will also have the chance to really impact our DEI focus as you help develop training and other learning paths.

Founded in 2012, Cloud Imperium Games creates cutting-edge videogames that defy expectations. We’re currently developing Star Citizen, a record-breaking multiplayer online space sim, and Squadron 42, a cinematic single-player adventure set in the same universe. What will you do as our Learning and Development Manager?

  • Architect, implement, and execute bespoke training content and learning experiences for new hires and seasoned professionals – focusing on hard and soft skill improvement and professional development
  • Partner strategically with internal departments to understand key business objectives along with team/individual needs and consistently translate and prioritise these into the training roadmap
  • Work with the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion leader to develop and implement a learning and development program with a DEI focus. Include all relevant DEI sessions into leadership development and other learning paths
  • Manage and improve as needed on our executive and leadership coaching programs including managing external partners
  • Researching, planning and coordinating CIG’s training & development needs in cooperation with other departments

What would we expect from our Learning and Development Manager?

  • Experienced and excelled as a Learning and Development Manager or worked in a similar position
  • Comfortable with deploying large scale programs with eye on managing expectations globally
  • Have good experience introducing smart development & training politics based on the previously diagnosed needs
  • Current, in-depth knowledge of Learning and Development best practices and trends, willing to think outside the box
  • Ability to conduct trainings and presentations
