At Cloud Imperium Games, we’re currently looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our Manchester studio. The successful applicant will work on several international projects which include the implementation of a new global accounting and human resource management system, internal controls & risk management, and tax compliance. The Finance Business Partner will also be a key contributor to the European Finance team with the accounting operation, internal reporting and external compliance.

We’re currently developing Star Citizen, a record-breaking multiplayer online space sim, and Squadron 42, a cinematic single-player adventure set in the same universe. What does a Finance Business Partner at CIG do?
- Assist design, configure and test the finance team’s global reporting needs within the new accounting software
- Attend project meetings to provide input on key matters and technical matters
- Challenge existing systems & processes, identify opportunities for business process improvements
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisers to implement new controls, processes and systems
- Identification of tax compliance risk and further professionalising of compliance processes and procedures
What do we expect from a Finance Business Partner?
- ACA or ACCA qualified with post qualification experience
- Prior experience with Workday software a plus
- Finance delivery experience with particular focus on financial reporting, controls and common financial processes
- Understanding of sales tax compliance and some VAT knowledge
- Enthusiastic team player with the ability to work under pressure and balance multiple priorities while working to deadlines
