Responsibilities:

  • Create and improve art production workflows, tools, pipelines, and asset optimization/integration of games within Unity
  • Work closely with artists, project managers, engineers and the rest of the Technical Art team
  • Guide and contribute to rendering and shading techniques and processes
  • Research prototyping cutting-edge tools and rendering techniques
  • Find creative solutions to realize artistic visions within technical limitations
  • Mentor and develop other tech artists

Qualifications:

  • Solid game industry experience, specifically 3 + years in a technical artist role
  • Exceptional eye for quality; the ability to take a layout and ensure it ends up in the game looking true to the original while honouring device limitations
  • 5+ years development experience in Unity
  • Comfortable with troubleshooting art technical problems
  • Knowledge of art optimization techniques for mobile games
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience in Unity Scripting (C#)
  • Unity rendering, graphics compression and art pipeline expertise for mobile games development
  • PHP programming experience (nice-to-have)
  • Degree in Fine Arts, Computer Science or Engineering
