Strong 2D/ 3D illustrations and game UI design. We are looking for an experienced 3D / 2D Game Artist/ Graphic designer to join our game development force, a talented Artist with experience with using 3DSMax, Photoshop and Unreal4. Other packages such as Premiere, AfterFX, ZBrush or Mudbox an advantage. Modeling, texturing and mapping skills a must, together with a strong portfolio showcasing design skills and visual flair.

NOTE: We understand the spectrum we are looking for is broad so if you are a strong, talented 3D artist or 2D UI, menu artist or even Graphic designer with a Gaming background please do get in touch we are actively recruiting experienced artists to our team.

COVID: We are currently working from home this can be an office or at home based position.

Please include examples demonstrating outstanding visual and technical ability, for Menu UI work, modelling in Max and/or Z-brush, and normal mapped game environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • A design concept for 3D environments & backgrounds.
  • UI/UX designer
  • Assets pipeline support – Unreal Engine experience preferred. This person will work with the lead artist to generate marketing assets – videos and flythroughs. Skills: solid visual and conceptual capabilities for video and 2D screenshots. Knowledge of UE.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Map predefined textures, create new textures
  • Create particles in Unreal
  • Create 3D modelling
  • Create game assets
  • Strong 2D/ 3D illustrations and game UI design
  • Understanding of optimisation for mobile platforms
  • Working knowledge of UE4
  • Capable to create high-quality and performance particles on Unreal.
  • Experience in Unreal, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop (as above) and also any of the animation tools (Flash, After Effects, or similar).
  • Have a highly organised approach to working in a team and alone

Skills:

  • Ability with 3d Studio Max and Adobe Photoshop * Create normal maps using 3ds Max, Photoshop, ZBrush or CrazyBump * Model and texture both high and low polygon environments,
  • UV mapping skills with efficient layouts
  • Understanding of form, composition, colour and light in environments and architecture
  • Understanding of particle systems would also be an advantage
  • Technical understanding of console/mobile limitations and knowledge of efficient artwork techniques would be an advantage

Preferably:

  • Previous experience in working on mobile apps/Games
  • Comfortable working in a 3D package (Maya, Max, Blender, Zbrush OR equivalent) in order to create layouts
  • Both low and high poly modelling and animating of in-game 2D assets
