Job Overview
As videographer, you will shoot and edit footage related to in-house content. You will be responsible for the bulk of the technical tasks related to production and post-production. This includes transporting, setting up, and operating equipment; and assist with staging, set preparation and dressing. You will work closely with the creative director to execute the content concept through to completion. As a producer, you will manage content creation for the organization with the help of the creative director, ensuring high-quality content is released regularly. You will have ample opportunity to develop your product as well as yourself while working with Chaos E.C.
Duties
- Determines what camera equipment is necessary and obtains equipment.
- Transports, sets up, and operates various production equipment including cameras, audio and video recorders, lighting equipment, props, and microphones for location and studio production.
- Operates and maintains proper levels and calibration of cameras, audio and video recorders, and other production equipment.
- Overseeing all content creation activities for the organization.
- Working closely with the brand team to devise a content strategy that aligns with the company's wider goals.
- Creation of a content marketing calendar to ensure regular content on channels throughout the year in collaboration with the Social Media Manager.
- Working alongside the social media manager to create content for the different social media channels.
- Keeping up to date with industry best practice and monitoring content activities of competitors.
- Repurposing content for different mediums including social media and video.
- Creation of entertaining and informative video content.
- Supports the team throughout the production process, which may include finding interview subjects, creating graphics, and presenting to clients.
- Helps to sustain and guide the creative process.
- Assists in developing interview questions and storyboards.
- Position responsibilities may change to fit production needs.
Background
- B.A. in Film Studies or similar preferred but not required.
- Highly articulate with an excellent command of written English.
- Creative minded with an ability to conceive interesting ideas for new content.
- Previous experience working as a content manager would be an advantage.
