Job Overview

As video editor, you will edit footage and create motion graphics for in-house content. You will be responsible for the bulk of the tasks related to post production. This includes editing video, color grading, editing audio, and creating motion graphics. You will work closely with the videographer/producer to execute editing tasks through to completion in a timely manner. You will assist the videographer/producer and creative director in conceptualizing content across all media channels. You will have ample opportunity to develop your product as well as yourself while working with Chaos E.C. Submission must include a Cover Letter and Demo Reel.

Duties

  • Working closely with the content team to determine what footage and media is necessary to create high-quality content
  • Ingesting footage and media in an organized manner to ensure all assets are easy to locate for current and future video projects
  • Editing video including syncing audio & video, cutting and arranging clips, mixing and mastering audio, color grading, creating motion graphics, and exporting projects in the appropriate format
  • Repurposing content for different mediums including social media, and video in collaboration with the content team
  • Keeping up to date with industry best practices and monitoring content activities of our competitors
  • Assisting the content team during the production process which may include: operating A/V equipment, lighting, and set design
  • Position responsibilities may change to fit production needs

Background

  • B.A. in Film Studies or similar preferred but not required
  • Highly articulate with an excellent command of written English
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud applications including: Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition
  • Demonstrated ability to generate 2D and 3D motion graphics
  • Experience with Photoshop and Cinema4D considered a plus
  • Prior experience working with production equipment considered a plus
