Job Description
Our Technical Artist will be responsible for the implementation of art and animation for our front end Unity pipeline. They will need to have worked in the slots or game development industries and be familiar with industry standards. Our Technical Artist will export all relevant assets from PSDs and Spine animation files and optimise them for a mobile game environment. They will also be responsible for creating some animations and special effects in Unity to achieve dynamic and exciting gameplay. Working alongside our artists and animators, our Technical Artist will report directly to the Art Director and be given feedback from the Art Director and Game Designers.
Due to the global changes affecting businesses, our staff currently work remotely from home and will be doing so for the foreseeable future.
Skills & Requirements
- Ability to accurately interpret requirements from a brief
- Ability to work in an agile environment
- Familiar with industry best practices
- Proficiency in Unity
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop
- Familiarity with Spine runtimes highly sought after
- Experience using BM Font creation tool
- A good eye for detail
- Ability to self manage and meet deadlines
- Able to take direction when given
- Ability to follow pipeline procedures
- Ability to read art briefs and follow direction from the Lead Artist and Art Director
- Moderate to fluent level of English communication skills (either written or spoken)
- Can work quickly and under pressure
- Work cleanly with easy to understand files and layer names
Experience
Currently we are looking for candidates who have at least 2 years experience in the slots or game development industries. However we will consider a candidate who shows highly developed skills in their portfolio.
