Job Description
As a Senior Environment Artist, you will work independently to create exceptional art, and play a key role in designing the incredible environments for Project Orion - the follow-up to Cyberpunk 2077 and the next major video game in the Cyberpunk franchise.
(This position requires working in Boston. Hybrid working mode available).
Daily responsibilities
Participating in the creation of ideas and plans for locations/levels for the upcoming Orion project.
Collaborating with the Art Directors and Art Leads to maintain artistic consistency and vision for the game while building uncommon worlds.
Creating high quality 3D models fitting Project Orion aesthetic.
Creating high quality, photorealistic textures using various tools and middleware.
Setting up materials and shaders to achieve the best possible final quality.
Collaborating effectively with Level Designers, Concept Artists, Environment Artists and every team involved in creating locations.
Maintaining and improving production and optimization pipelines.
Putting finishing touches on locations and cutscenes with existing meshes and decals.
Mentoring and feedbacking team members.
Being a knowledge base for other artists.
Qualifications
Min. 6 years of experience in the video games industry and at least one AAA title shipped in portfolio.
Excellent skills in one of the leading modeling packages (3DS Max, Maya, Blender etc.) and Photoshop.
Great sense of scale, proportions and composition.
Good knowledge about color theory and basic lighting techniques.
Knowledge of physically based rendering (PBR).
Creativity and an excellent eye for detail.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Passion for games.
Nice to have's

An understanding of level design principles.
Experience with photogrammetry in games.
Experience with procedural content creation packages (Substance package, Houdini, World Machine).
Sculpting skills.
