CCP is looking for a Technical Director to co-lead the software development effort of EVE Online. The Technical Director will work closely with the Lead Producer of Platform to strategize and communicate technical decisions for the foundations of the game. This will require thinking long term as well as driving the needs of the project forward in the short term.

Responsibilities include:

  • Create & maintain in collaboration with the Lead Producer the technical vision.
  • Make strategic technology decisions for the game and the company.
  • Co-ordinate technical planning and task scheduling with production.
  • Identifying risks and blockers early and proactively removing them.
  • Collaborates with other Technical Directors to establish & maintain technical direction.
  • Provides technical leadership and mentorship to local programmers

Your profile:

  • Communicating ideas, intent, and constraints to both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Seeing the big picture impact of decisions and critically evaluating them.
  • Working effectively in open and collaborative environments.
  • Nurturing professional growth within your team with an enthusiastic attitude.
  • Passion for video games.

Required Experience/skills:

  • 10+ years programming experience
  • 3+ years experience in a technical leadership role
  • Expert knowledge of Agile and Scrum
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in game development
  • Enthusiasm for MMO’s and experience with EVE Online is a big plus.
  • Experience developing Games-as-a-Service.
