THE STUDIO
Carbonated is a games studio based in El Segundo, CA and only a 15 minute walk to the beach. The company was founded in 2015 by industry veterans who’ve built and run some of the biggest games in the world at companies like EA, Sony, Zynga and Blizzard. Our aspiration is to build a company where people want to spend their entire careers.
Our culture is largely based around a shared love of playing and building games as well as continuously learning and experimenting together. Unsurprisingly, we're focused on folks who share our key values:

Right now we’re fortunate enough to be working on our own game called MadWorld, a real-time social pvp battler (think if The Division had a baby with Eve Online) with a few fun twists!
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Grow our audience size and engagement to hundreds of thousands of players (and more!), primarily by using your love of games and pop culture to create funny and engaging content via memes and animated gifs
- Focus our community on Discord but also maintain a strong presence wherever they are
- Find new potential game audiences wherever they might be (other Discord servers, Reddit, LFG platforms, Twitter, other online forums, etc.)
- Interact with the audience via game related content, dev updates, polls, and anything our audience might be interested in
- Be the Community Voice: request, aggregate and prioritize feedback to make sure the team knows what the players are thinking
- Recruit community leaders and game advocates to help manage the community and organize player events and playtests
- Identify potential content creators and influencers to help increase our reach and work with the team to onboard them and make them part of the community
- Help develop content such as game videos, podcasts, dev interviews, weekly streams, and product updates
- Establish and report key metrics on a weekly basis, including game recommendations
- Stay up-to-date on best practices for community and social media
- Develop and own an active community strategy that encapsulates all of the above
WHAT’S REQUIRED
- 2+ years experience in game community development
- Experience managing an audience groups of 100K+ across game forums and social platforms
- Proven ability to make popular memes and gifs
- Experience managing multiple mods, community leaders and streamers
- Strong Photoshop, audio & video editing skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to work in a team environment
