At Caffeine, we want to change how people consume live television - making it more friendly, connected, and fun. To do this, we’re building a new social broadcasting platform that features world-class content, easy-to-use broadcasting tools, a social and fun viewing experience, and an engaged broadcaster community.

This is an exciting and enormous challenge, and we will only be successful if we build a supportive and collaborative team. Our teams prioritize delighting our community of viewers and broadcasters, working with intention, taking ownership of our commitments, and acting with resilience and determination—all with the intention to ship greatness, always.

As a Software QA Engineer at Caffeine, you will be a key figure that helps ensure that the products we ship to production are immaculate. Our team of developers are rockstars, and we are building an equally strong QA Team to partner them with. You will apply your experience in a fast-paced development environment as well as your strong testing philosophies to build out well-designed, comprehensive testing strategies that uncover any and all bugs for our team to crush.

What You'll Do

  • Work with Product, Design, and Engineering to understand business and feature requirements as well as technical implementation details
  • Design and execute test strategies for new/existing features that align with our testing pyramid while ensuring that testing plans are thorough and detailed. Also help with crafting load and stress testing strategies.
  • Lead internal testing cycles (UAT) before feature releases and ensure the right triaging and prioritizations of issues and bugs with Product, Design, and Engineering Teams
  • Help build monitoring tools that provide real-time information for errors that are happening in the product
  • Ensure that games work with Caffeine’s broadcasting platforms and help maintain a list of known bugs for games
  • Act as the POC for other functions (such as Customer Support) for features and provide necessary context for questions that might arise

Who You Are & What You've Done

  • 3+ years of experience working in software development and testing, with a BS in Computer Science or relevant field of study
  • Passionate about shipping high-quality products
  • Strong philosophy on testing strategies and overall testing pyramid
  • Comfortable working across multiple client-side platforms (iOS, Android, Web, Windows) as well as in a variety of tech-stacks
  • Experienced and comfortable with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with automation tools and libraries such as Selenium
  • Experience working with video/media service, social platforms, and/or a consumer product preferred but not required

We are committed to an inclusive and diverse Caffeine. We believe that different perspectives lead to better ideas, and better ideas allow us to better understand the needs and interests of our diverse, global community. We welcome people of different backgrounds, experiences, abilities and perspectives and are an equal opportunity employer.
