At Caffeine, we want to change how people consume live television - making it more friendly, connected, and fun. To do this, we’re building a new social broadcasting platform that features world-class content, easy-to-use broadcasting tools, a social and fun viewing experience, and an engaged broadcaster community.

This is an exciting and enormous challenge, and we will only be successful if we build a supportive and collaborative team. Our teams prioritize delighting our community of viewers and broadcasters, working with intention, taking ownership of our commitments, and acting with resilience and determination—all with the intention to ship greatness, always.

As a Design Program Manager on the design team, you will apply your attention to detail, deep understanding of product goals and a bias toward action to help designers build new experiences and campaigns, prioritize projects, ensure high quality execution, and run communication with cross-functional partners.

You will power every success we have in shipping high-quality experiences to our users and partners. Your operations and communications will help Caffeine realize our belief in the power of real-time human connection, by celebrating real innovators and giving communities access to them, live.

What You’ll Do

  • Work directly with designers to define, prioritize, delegate and time-box projects. The Caffeine Design Team works on everything from product features and marketing campaigns to show brands and live content overlays, with each area requiring extensive research, planning and coordination. You will take ownership of smooth design process and successful collaboration so that we ship greatness every time.
  • Define and represent the design organization process in conversations about cross-functional collaboration. You will develop deep knowledge of project requirements, scope, implementation, and timing that you will use to guide conversations about design progress with leadership and cross-functionally. Your understanding of how the team works and potential roadblocks will shape how you develop plans and agreements.
  • Understand company goals and build trust with design, product, engineering and marketing leadership. Your expertise in our team's design process, active prioritization and timelines, designer allocation, hiring, team structure and product roadmap will shine through in how you make achievable plans with partners. You will share your observations and ideas with leadership around improving process and communication.

Who You Are And What You’ve Done

  • 2+ years experience working directly with cross-functional teams in design program management roles. You demonstrate proficiency in developing effective processes for project management, practicing timeline management and working with other teams' processes.
  • A passionate, creative problem-solver with high emotional intelligence and an eye for well-designed, thoughtful experiences. You’re excited to understand our vision, get into the details, define paths forward and constructively hold teammates accountable.
  • An effective communicator. You share the design team's thinking, prioritization and needs in a way that builds trust and high-quality outcomes. You've worked closely with designers, engineers and product managers before and stand up for team vision, goals and health.
  • A strategic and operational leader with a learner's mind. You'll apply your unique expertise to identify ways that you can support what's working and to pioneer processes to make things even better!

We are committed to an inclusive and diverse Caffeine. We believe that different perspectives lead to better ideas, and better ideas allow us to better understand the needs and interests of our diverse, global community. We welcome people of different backgrounds, experiences, abilities and perspectives and are an equal opportunity employer.
