As a Senior Business Performance Manager you will support international partners working with the Destiny IP by researching and driving performance enhancements that align with Bungie’s pillars and market needs. This role works as part of a cross-functional team to guide partners to successful content creation in the Destiny universe. The BPM works closely with the Creative Lead, Project Lead, and Publishing team to ensure success of the product and brand.

Reporting and accountable to the Bungie Business Performance Director.

During these uncertain times and rapidly changing environment surrounding COVID-19, all positions at Bungie are subject to onboarding and working virtually/remotely. Once the studio is fully reopened, most work is expected to be performed in-person at our main headquarters in Bellevue, Washington.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with partners to improve and optimize player retention and monetization by driving product and game features
  • Provide detailed feedback on design documents with a deep understanding of player experience and business impacts
  • Help define Key Performance Indicators and key strategies to ensure the project meets its performance goals
  • Identify international market drivers and guide product features based on territory information
  • Test and evaluate features prior to launching them to players worldwide, working closely with development and user research teams
  • Identify opportunities for growth, influence key stakeholders and work with partners to drive initiatives to a successful outcome
  • Work collaboratively as part of the Project Leadership Team, creating a lasting culture of shared learning and experimentation
  • Leverage analytics and quantitative analysis to inform feature development and product optimization, through close partner collaboration
  • Build competitive analysis / case studies and market research
  • Keep up-to-date with market trends and develop new tactics

Required Skills

  • Experience running live service games as a developer or publisher
  • Proven business acumen with strategic and analytical capabilities, using data to drive strategic and business decisions
  • Ability to lead complex operational and strategic change initiatives
  • Experience building out and modifying complex financial and economic models
  • Good understanding of statistics, multivariate testing, and the scientific method
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with multiple teams including marketing, game development, and team leadership
  • Vision and ability to see the bigger picture and translate it into innovative initiatives
  • Ability to lead and inspire a highly skilled team
  • Enthusiasm for games and ability to understand and deconstruct what makes a successful live game
  • Ability to work effectively across languages, locations, and cultures
  • Willingness to travel and host visits from the partner team on a regular cadence (after Covid-19 travel restrictions are removed)
  • Willingness to shift core hours later as necessary to accommodate meetings with partner studios (typically 5-8pm)

Nice To Have Skills

  • Chinese (Mandarin) language skills are highly desirable
