Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this Senior Accountant position will support the growth of Bungie and its rapidly-evolving accounting function. This Senior Accountant will have primary responsibility for various monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting and closing tasks and other areas as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform accurate and timely reconciliations as part of monthly accounting close cycle for a variety of standard and non-standard transactions
Create accurate and useful financial reporting based on evolving business needs and Finance/Company goals
Assist with Sony and Bungie post-merger integration efforts
Research and provide recommendations on applicable new accounting issues
Create process documentation for key accounting processes
Support internal and external compliance requirements and filings
Crosstrain on other department processes
Support accounting system enhancements and optimization efforts
Other ad hoc projects as required
REQUIRED SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, as well as 3+ years of relevant and progressive work experience
Strong accounting knowledge
Advanced Excel skills
Ability to interpret, analyze and record high-volumes of transactions
Detail-oriented, analytical and obsessed with accuracy
Ability to take initiative and meet deadlines
Ability to work well independently on complex and ambiguous tasks within a growing team
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Customer service passion in all internal and external interactions
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
CPA, preferably including some public accounting experience
Experience with Workday or other enterprise accounting ERP systems
Knowledgeable and passionate about the games industry
Experience with ecommerce accounting
