As a Gameplay Engineer at Bungie, you will be working closely with stakeholders to innovate, build, and improve our networking code. You will dive into technically complex retail network issues. This position is available for fully remote work in CA, FL, IL, NC, TX, OR, and WA.


  • Build and maintain high quality C++ code
  • Work independently with stakeholders to design, build, extend, and maintain networked gameplay systems as well as associated tools and workflows
  • Analyze existing code with an eye toward security
  • Help engineers build and understand strong coding patterns


  • Able to independently build and maintain robust C++ code
  • Comprehensive understanding of debugging and maintaining a distributed system (client-server, peer-to-peer, etc)


  • Experience developing networked gameplay features
  • Experience building secure gameplay code
  • Effectively write clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation and communications
  • Experience mentoring fellow engineers
