Bungie is looking for a talented Compositing Artist who will leverage the content and art style of our games to create commercial artwork alongside our Marketing and Publishing teams. You will work closely with our Art Director and Art Leads to support and create composites for our current and future marketing campaigns. As the ideal candidate, you should amaze us with your creative designs, artwork, versatility in in 3D and 2D workflows, lighting and rendering capabilities, and technical problem solving skills.

With the uncertainty and rapidly changing circumstances surrounding COVID-19, most positions at Bungie are expected to onboard and work from home for a significant portion of 2021. In 2022, most Bungie employees will adopt a flexible schedule working from home part time (outside of positions identified as either 100% onsite or fully remote in WA & CA). Currently only a select range of positions are available for full-time remote work in WA & CA (please review location for details). Prospective employees located outside of CA & WA will need to establish WA state residency within 45 days of a start date. Bungie’s work from home, flexible work schedule, and remote policy is subject to change at the company’s discretion.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate closely with the Art Director and Art Leads to produce quality designs that help expand the look of our marketing campaigns for all Bungie titles
  • Create print ready, high resolution (4,000 - 20,000 pixels at 300 dpi) artwork for marketing campaigns utilizing the latest 3D software and Adobe Photoshop
  • Capture in-game screenshots for marketing campaigns
  • Utilize in-game assets to create composites for Social Media and in-game advertising assets
  • Create thumbnails, sketches, renders within deadline
  • Create posters utilizing our in-game assets and Adobe Photoshop

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Ability to quickly iterate composites given input from the Art Director and Art Leads
  • Professional attitude and an ability to take constructive criticism
  • Excellent eye for light, value, composition, color, staging and detail for commercial art
  • Strong understanding of compositing in Adobe Photoshop
  • Strong knowledge of 3D software including, but not limited to, Maya or 3ds Max
  • Strong knowledge of current 3D modeling, lighting, texturing, and rendering techniques
  • The ability to carry an idea from concept to completion
  • Strong technical problem solving skills
  • Self-driven, strong communicator and a great team-player

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

  • Experience with Photography
  • Experience working as a Commercial Artist
  • Strong foundation in the traditional arts
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, KeyShot, V-Ray or Davinci Resolve
  • 3D animation and character posing experience
  • Graphic Design knowledge
  • Experience creating artwork for print
  • AA/BFA or demonstration through portfolio, an industry standard level of art
  • A passion for games
