As an Associate UI Engineer on the Social Team at Bungie, you will enable our creative teams to bring elegant UI designs to life. Your work will empower the team to craft incredible player experiences that inspire friendship. You will be able to learn from and work alongside a multi-discipline team in a highly collaborative environment while building the tools with which our players connect.

NOTE: Eligible applicants must be graduated from a college, university, or related program within 12 months, or planning to graduate this year, or Moving from primarily learning to primarily working within 12 months or transitioning from one craft, function, or discipline to a new one

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain production-quality C++ code
  • Collaborate on a daily basis with the multi-discipline Social team to deliver features together
  • Support engineers and designers from other teams when their features intersect with the Social team
  • Leverage and extend our in-game user interface engine and related designer tools with oversight

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • C/C++ game UI coding experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers of different technical and non-technical backgrounds to build features and achieve goals
  • Solid programming foundation and application of core principles (Data Structures, Algorithms, Event Management)

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

  • Prior console development experience
  • Excitement about user experience and how players interact with each other
  • Enthusiasm for learning, playing, and developing exceptional games
