The Community Developer, reporting to the Lead Community & Customer Care, is the key spokesperson for the Community within Build A Rocket Boy. You will be responsible for creating and executing the community strategy to build, grow, and nurture positive community interactions for all our players on a worldwide scale. As the voice of the players, you will be a key part of the feedback loop to make sure we build a strong live game service for our players.
Located in the Edinburgh Studio, you will work closely with the Live Ops department as well as the wider studio, such as the Player Engagement, Data Insights, Brand, and Development teams. As a key member of the Live Ops department, you will have a direct impact on the success of Build A Rocket Boy's upcoming AAA title, Everywhere .
Responsibilities
- Be the community's voice at Build A Rocket Boy! Stay up to date with the latest developments both in the community and the game itself, in order to advise and advocate on the community's behalf.
- Create and execute a global community strategy on Everywhere .
- Conceptualise and execute community events and community content calendars.
- With the help of development teams build community assets to help support the Player Engagement efforts of acquisition and retention.
- Provide community insights and understanding with the help of the Data Insights team, to help drive decision making at Build A Rocket Boy.
- Support Build A Rocket Boy to reach its milestones with community focused initiatives.
- Regularly report on Community status to Management.
Requirements
- 3+ Years of experience in Community Development/Management in video games.
- A keen understanding of player behaviour, and trends within the AAA gaming world.
- Analytical mind set to build player understanding with a data driven approach
- Experience building online communities
- Experience with social channels as they relate to community management
- Outstanding collaborator
- Experience working in a transversal/cross functional position a plus
- Exceptional communication skills
- Desire to work in a unique "AAA start-up" Studio environment
- A pro-active and positive "can do" attitude
- Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent experience.
