Producer
Budge Studios is looking for an exceptional Producer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery and management of one or more projects. The main functions include human resources management, driving product development and maintaining communications with key stakeholders. The Producer is truly the heart and soul of the project and is ultimately responsible for its timely delivery. Reporting to the VP of Production, you will work closely with several colleagues: The Creative Director, other Producers and different department heads. Responsibilities:
- Manage the production of incredibly compelling, high-quality mobile video games;
- Plan and oversee the project, and manage members of the team;
- Establish production objectives (sprint / milestone) and priorities while maintaining guidelines;
- Ensure all stakeholders have the required information at their disposal;
- Work with executive management team to craft vision of the titles, and to develop schedules, budget and resource requirements to ensure achievement of vision;
- Maintain positive client relationships;
- Work closely with our client to ensure the quality of the product;
- Handle and distribute development tasks among team members based on their skills and aptitudes;
- Act as a resource person in the management of your team (development, coaching, efficiency evaluation, disciplinary measures, promotions);
- Work with QA to develop and follow QA strategies for the product and drive updates;
Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in video game industry in a management position;
- Candidate must have shipped at least two video game titles;
- Experience managing a team of 10+ employees (Programmers, Artists, Animators, Designers, Testers);
- Ability to drive a team and product development using AGILE methodology (Scrum Master Certification an asset);
- Theoretical and practical understanding of the different types of games;
- Understanding of the various steps involved in creating a game;
- Ability to assess development tasks;
- Ability to analyze and synthesize information;
- Strong time management skills and ability to respect production schedules;
- Must show leadership, initiative, autonomy and flexibility;
- Excellent client relationship skills;
- Sense of humor, passion and devotion;
- Passion for video games;
An asset to have:
- Mobile game production experience;
- Good knowledge of Jira-Agile project management tool and Confluence;
- Familiarity with relevant tools (After Effects, Flash, Photoshop, etc.).
