We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative UI Artist to collaborate with our talented developers to create User Interfaces and other assets that enhance the overall player experience. You need to be proactive, self-driven, and passionate about delivering beautiful designs. You must be able to organize, improvise and adapt your resources to achieve the best outcome.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance overall player experience through the creation of high quality and engaging 2D User Interfaces
- Focus on 2D designs and asset creation while also collaborating in other stages of game art creation.
- Create concepts, wireframes, and placeholders
- Create designs and basic animations for UI elements, including icons, pop-ups, buttons, backgrounds, and menus
- Maintain high level of familiarity with software development tools such as Clickup, Google Drive, and Microsoft Office
- Implement engaging 2D interfaces in Unity through strong collaboration with the engineers / tech artists.
- Play an active role in the development and iterations of the designs through ongoing collaboration with the team.
- Seek out design and implementation solutions for visual effects in partnership with game programmers.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Two years of experience as UI artist
- Basic animation skills
- Able to communicate effectively in English
- Adept at implementing assets within the Unity Game Engine
- Familiarity with graphic design, illustration, and visual arts
- Strong knowledge of digital design softwares (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Capable of working through the entire game development pipeline from conception and placeholder creation to final polishing and implementation
- A keen eye for color harmonies and legible visual design
- Demonstrated ability to use processes and methods for optimizing assets for mobile devices
- A portfolio demonstrating your skills
