BossAlien is an award-winning developer of mobile games based in Brighton, UK, and we're excited to announce the expansion of our team into Austin, TX! As we establish our presence in the Lone Star State, we need an experienced QA Engineer to help expand our testing operations to support development of our upcoming Star Wars action game.

This is a rare opportunity to play a part in the foundation of Zynga’s first action games studio in North America, and to make your mark on a brand new franchise in the Star Wars universe and the future of mobile gaming.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

As QA Engineer, you will collaborate with the development team to plan and execute on testing plans and automated testing techniques. Your support will enable the team to deliver their work. Your partnership will be a crucial part of crafting new features and content. You'll achieve this through excellent communication skills and a proven understanding of mobile software and client/server gaming concepts.

We are looking for someone who is diligent and curious for the craft of games testing. You will develop and champion testing expertise across all project areas, and amplify the efficiency of our development processes.

Vital Experience Includes

  • Experienced with software testing, and able to be responsible for the full lifecycle of effective testing, from early strategy to final reporting.
  • Strong understanding of QA processes and testing terminology.
  • Familiarity with mobile software/games development lifecycles and methodology.
  • Experienced with reviewing, collaborating on, and writing new test cases.
  • Great communication skills including in cross-discipline conversations.
  • Ability to estimate and manage own time.
  • Comfortable crafting QA documentation.

An Exceptional Candidate Will Possess

  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Experience testing products in live operation.
  • Familiarity with development tools such as Unity or Unreal, Xcode, the Android SDK, etc.
  • Experience working with Test Rail or similar TCM systems.
  • Ability to read code, data, and scripting information.
  • Any knowledge of coding in at least one, but preferably multiple, languages.
  • Proficiency with automation testing.
