Join us in ensuring the stability and performance of community-created mods, official mods, and vanilla game systems! As a C++ Programmer in the Modding Department, you will be responsible for the modding architecture of our in-house Enfusion engine and for aiding in the implementation of systems for Arma 4's technical direction. You will play a key role in safeguarding the game experience while ensuring the architecture remains flexible for modding. This involves diagnosing and addressing issues, testing bugs and crashes, and ensuring platform compliance (e.g., PlayStation, Xbox). You’ll work closely with the Modding Supervisor and the development team to facilitate a smooth modding process and enhance the overall player experience.
Your primary task will be to implement modding frameworks and utilities, test and troubleshoot community mods, official mods, and vanilla game systems to ensure seamless integration and performance. You’ll identify technical issues such as scripting errors or conflicts, and resolve them independently or as part of a team. Additionally, you’ll focus on ensuring that vanilla game systems remain modding compliant, allowing modders to extend or modify without breaking the game's core functionality.
You will also be responsible for monitoring performance, investigating crashes related to mods, and managing feedback reports from the community. By collaborating with modders and internal developers, you’ll ensure that both community and official mods meet platform-specific guidelines (e.g., PlayStation and Xbox) and that they adhere to the company’s internal policies and external regulations.
