Activision is looking for a passionate and experienced Social Engagement Manager to join the Consumer Marketing team!
The Social Engagement Manager will focus on leading the strategy that guides community engagement and the Call of Duty ‘brand voice’ on social media. This role will be a thought leader, setting platform specific strategies that focus on growing brand engagement, along with building a framework for defining critical metrics and measuring success.
The ideal candidate for this role is a gaming enthusiast with a strong passion for entertainment, web/pop culture, sports, music, tech, etc.
What you’ll do
Leading the evolution of our COD social playbook
Set the priorities and own the day-to-day editorial, content plans and copywriting for brand channels - working in collaboration with our live ops and mainline social marketing leads to bring brand consistency and best practices to their social marketing activations.
Drive innovation across social creative and messaging, regularly bringing new perspectives and ideas to the table.
Develop strategic campaigns that are community centric and elevate the COD brand on all priority platforms.
Manage our internal social community team (including social community strategist & community manager) as they execute real-time 1:1 community interaction on behalf of the brand, and lead our agency in building out a framework for evergreen & reactive brand engagement
Set platform goals, and work in partnership with our analytics and research teams to benchmark success and extract actionable insights to track performance against our goals.
Work closely with senior stakeholders across the Call of Duty teams (including PR, experiential, influencer, studios, eSports, etc.) as we strive to implement outstanding social communications and community activations.
What you’ll bring
8+ years of client or agency-side social / digital marketing experience.
Experience leading brand strategy on social media, with expertise with platforms including Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Meta, Snapchat, Twitch, YouTube, etc.
Passion for gaming, especially a love for the Call of Duty franchise, and a strong knowledge of gaming audience segments.
Appetite for all things digital and social – developing innovative campaigns demonstrating the newest tech across platforms - and desire to find opportunities for strategic brand involvement.
Experience refining a brand’s ‘voice’ on social, including copywriting as a client or at an agency, and implementing best-practices across social (including specs, accessibility, etc.)
Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
Experience reviewing analytics and performance data to interpret insights.
Familiarity with Opal and Sprinklr are a plus.
