Your Mission

The world always needs more heroes!

The Overwatch team is looking for an accomplished Senior UI/UX designer with experience in creating simple, yet engaging and immersive user interfaces to join our Events Pillar.

Your work will be at the core of our player experience for each of our content updates. You will work on new features for the game, menu redesigns for our Battle Pass seasons, and all sorts of creative endeavors we do as we keep Overwatch 2 new and exciting. You will be key in collaborating across disciplines to reach our high standard of polish. You will develop concepts and take them from UX flow to in-game UI.

Primary Location

This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Irvine, CA.

What you bring to the table:

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Create concepts, flows, layouts, mock-ups and prototypes.

  • Collaborate with artists, engineers, and designers to create, implement a polished and fluid interface, leading to great user experience.

  • Design awesome game interfaces that complement and develop the Overwatch style, with a focus on new events and seasons.

  • Work together with the team throughout the design process, gathering actionable feedback and iterating at the appropriate levels.

Requirements

  • Ideal candidate has a minimum of 3+ years of experience in UI/UX design, including some experience on AAA title(s).

  • Experience creating UI for multiple platforms – PC, consoles.

  • Create and maintain UX wireframes and flows with Figma, XD, or other prototyping tools.

  • Create polished visual designs using Adobe Creative Suite (eg. Photoshop, Illustrator).

  • Experience with front-end implementation (e.g., XAML, HTML5).

  • Able to communicate the UI/UX process effectively.

  • Positive attitude and an ability to receive and provide objective feedback.

  • Able to work creatively in a demanding team environment while helping others.

Extra Points

  • Proficient in After Effects, Adobe Animate, or other motion graphic tools.

  • Experience working in 3D.

  • Knowledgeable about online gameplay and first-person shooters.

  • Passion for Overwatch and its IP.

  • Portfolio demonstrating relevant artistic and design skills required

  • Only online artwork submissions will be accepted (e.g. website, blog or online album).

  • Must be willing to complete a UI/UX test if requested to do so.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $101,000.00 - $186,754.00 Annual. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
