The Diablo 4 team is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Gameplay Engineer to help shape the future of Diablo.

You should have experience in several of the following areas: quests and narrative content systems, user interface, player abilities, combat, AI, or other game systems. You also have outstanding people skills and a longstanding passion for playing games of various genres, a strong desire to bring the world of Diablo to life for our players and be excited by the idea of working closely with designers to help create compelling and epic features that will keep players engaged for years.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, improve, and maintain various gameplay systems for Diablo 4

  • Act as a collaborative ambassador of engineering to the rest of the team.

  • Work closely with game designers, programmers, and artists to ensure a great player experience

  • Champion Blizzard Entertainment’s core values, especially 'Gameplay First'

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of game programming experience

  • Proficient in C / C++

  • Experience working closely in multi-disciplinary teams

  • Self-motivation and willingness to participate in many areas of game development

Bonus:

  • In-depth familiarity with the Diablo franchise, and other Blizzard Entertainment products

  • Experience playing and/or developing RPGs, ARPGS, and/or MMORPGS

  • Experience working with client / server game systems

  • Experience crafting and supporting tools used in game development

  • Experience with C#

  • Computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or equivalent experience

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $101,000.00 - $186,754.00 Annual. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
