The Battle.net & Online Products organization is home to 300+ superpowered engineers, product managers, and designers focused on the technology that powers Blizzard Entertainment’s games. You will affect millions of gamers on our most critical launches by working with senior leaders across the company to make sure that we have polished features that easily enable players to access exciting gaming experiences. You will own and launch commerce features that bridge the gap between game development, client platforms, and global payment platforms. It’s an immense area of scope and you’ll have a team of expert and supportive partners who’re always looking to discover and do the right thing.

Responsibilities

  • Be an expert at how Ecommerce systems and experiences work, particularly within the buying context where a user has decided to purchase a product and is now in a checkout flow.

  • Champion the products by having a passion for deeply understanding the needs and challenges of our players: look directly into our analytics solutions, identify problems, and partner with design and tech to generate solutions and deliver them iteratively for our players.

  • Work closely with our game teams to understand and implement their current and future needs of our products (Checkout Web app, Orders Platform and Subscription Engine),

  • Document and organize business, functional, technical, and creative requirements for new features.

  • Provide motivation and direction to ensure that project goals, objectives, breakthroughs, and deliverables are achieved.

  • Develop schedules and partner with the Product Lead to own execution and delivery of projects throughout their development lifecycle.

  • Anticipate issues, roadblocks and make tradeoffs to ensure the team can deliver a project at a high degree of quality within time constraints.

  • Understand, maintain, and drive forward our massive subscription engine and its recurring payment capabilities.

Requirements

  • Passion for the world of Ecommerce.

  • A metrics-driven approach and ability to dive into data sources to demonstrate your strategy and results.

  • Able to succeed within an everchanging environment, pushing the forefront of new features while maintaining reliability and stability.

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as a product manager, building world-class platforms and services.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a love for collaboration.

  • Demonstrated success in delivering large, projects across multiple organizations.

  • Highly technical background and deep understanding of APIs and back-end systems.

  • Unrelenting self-motivation and initiative; enthusiastic "can-do" attitude is a requirement.

Pluses

  • Experience building out production infrastructure of an ecommerce platform that serves millions of customers daily

  • Expertise in JIRA, Confluence, or comparable team collaboration applications

  • Scrum Alliance Certifications (CSM, CSPO, CSP, etc.) or PMI Certifications (PMP, ACP, etc.)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
