Soldiers, scientists, adventurers, oddities, producers? The Overwatch team is looking for a new hero to team up as a Senior Producer!

Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Senior Producer to help us continue to promote an environment where our players feel safe, and that competition is fair.

Our team will monitor the health of Overwatch 2 and will evaluate, prioritize, and implement various features to improve fairness and civility among our players. This role will collaborate across a multitude of teams across Blizzard. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about protecting our player base from bad actors and working towards creating a more positive environment for everyone. This includes identifying weaknesses in our security systems, and building effective countermeasures into them to balance technical, product, and security goals. This also includes identifying opportunities to create more a more positive play environment, while identifying and appropriately addressing negative player behavior. They will work closely with designers, engineers, analysts, and our community team to accomplish these goals.

We need a highly diligent and data-driven person to dive deep into our existing systems, determine goals, propose solutions, drive alignment on specifications, and ultimately help our teams implement and deliver high-quality products.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Team Leads to define and complete a vision for player interaction and security services

  • Accurately assess business value with stakeholders and help prioritize features and projects accordingly

  • Build functional specifications, user stories, and maintain our roadmap – working with implementation teams to translate that into execution

  • Work with an operations team to identify novel threats against our systems, short term mitigations, and translate this into future platform security program improvements

  • Initiate and drive complex projects to completion

  • Stay on top of trends and industry standard methodologies

  • Champion security and a more positive play environment for all Blizzard games

  • Build a healthy team culture, built around Blizzard values

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience with program/product and project management for highly technical products.

  • Track record of project planning being successfully executed leading to the timely delivery of quality projects.

  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to focus on priorities, manage change and deliver against agreed deadlines.

  • Solid understanding of service-oriented architectures and design especially in communicating elements of a complex system to partners of varying technical expertise.

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Comfortable giving presentations to large groups and senior management.

  • Unrelenting self-motivation and initiative; an enthusiastic “can-do” attitude is a must.

  • Passion for iteration to find the optimal solution, but at the same time understands diminishing returns.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Pluses

  • Software development background or experience.

  • Experience with global-scale systems, including China.

  • Experience working with PII/personal data.

  • Expertise in JIRA, Confluence, or comparable team collaboration applications.

  • Scrum Alliance certifications (CSM, CSPO, CSP) or PMI certifications (PMP, CAPM)
