We Need You

The minions of Hell are growing stronger...

If you're a highly motivated and experienced Principal Outsource Supervisor who specializes in VFX, come join us on Diablo IV!

Our team of highly skilled developers is growing. Our backgrounds are diverse, but we all share a real passion for what we do. We believe that if you’re looking for a tight-knit crew that celebrates self-expression and embraces collaboration, we will be a phenomenal fit for you.

Oh, also, you really like killing demons and getting loot, right?

Stuff We will Trust you With

Be a force multiplier with your legendary creativity and cunning eye for detail. Do you geek out on working with 3D packages and in-game FX systems to build a wide range of VFX (fire, smoke, magic, electricity, explosions, etc.)? This job is about working with our external VFX teams, ensuring everything runs efficiently, and getting our beautiful work in a "game ready" state. We're looking for an outstandingly skilled person to come spend some quality time in Sanctuary and descend into the deep dark dungeons of Diablo with us! Your experience in crafting and giving feedback on textures and geometry needed for stylized VFX will help make us all better at making a lot of appealing content.

Your responsibilities will range from pushing the VFX art quality and giving feedback to a dedicated team of artists creating work for the Diablo world. You’ll also be providing timely, precise, and constructive feedback to our team members based on franchise knowledge and a high-quality bar.

Work alongside Leads and other Supervisors to collaborate and share a vision of creating the next iteration of a game industry defining VFX for our game.

Stuff You Are Familiar With

You may wonder what it will take to be successful in this role. Manage communication, provided feedback to artists, and helped maintain a strong creative relationship between directors and the VFX teams. You will help oversee VFX content for our Store team, mentor and develop direct reports, and work closely with cross-discipline leads and production to determine VFX art needs for the project. We are looking for someone with a solid grasp of the principles of motion, anticipation, dynamics, follow-through, lighting, shader building, and other facets of the pipeline. Ideally you will be highly adaptable with an understanding of performance needs to help optimize VFX and troubleshoot issues as needed.

This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Albany, NY or Irvine, CA. However, we understand each person’s circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore other possible options, including remote work arrangements.
