Stay awhile and help us making some amazing tools for some amazing artists! If you're a highly motivated Pipeline Technical Artist and looking to grow your career by helping to create an innovative content creation pipeline, then we should talk!

In this role, you'll be working closely with Artists, Engineers, and other Technical Artists to find both day-to-day and long-term improvements to the art pipeline for the Diablo 4 team. We're looking for someone with good interpersonal skills, who can be a team-player, and who is willing to dive deep into any issue they come across. We work primarily in Python, QT and support plugins for content creation tools, such as Maya, Houdini, and Photoshop. We strive to build tools that exceed the quality expectations of the artists who use them, so they can create the most beautiful art for our game in the most efficient way possible.

Oh, and you should really like killing demons and getting fantastic loot, right? RIGHT?

Stuff We will Trust you With

Your day-to-day responsibilities will center around creating tools for all the different art fields creating art in Diablo 4. You’ll work directly with artists, tech artists, and engineers to identify any tool and workflow improvements needed by the team. You’ll use your programming and scripting skills to create the tools directly to address the issues and improvements you help identify. You’ll help organize and maintain the art team’s current code base.

Stuff You Are Familiar With

You may wonder what it will take to be successful in this role. You’ll need to be familiar with scripting languages such as Python and QT. Some knowledge of C++ and maya plugin creation and management wouldn’t hurt either. You should also be knowledgeable of at least one art content creation subject area, such as modeling, rigging, animation, VFX or environmental art. You’ll also need to have strong verbal and written communication skills. Lastly, we want the person who takes this role to be a strong problem solver.
